Ratchet handles are used together with sockets, the ratchet handle is the lever arm that lets you apply torque using the socket attached to it. The reversible mechanism lets the socket turn in both directions for tightening and loosening. The design and dimensions of 3/4 in. ratchet handles are ideal for maintenance work on trucks or in industrial plants with large machinery. The maximum recommended torque for a 3/4 in. ratchet handle is 12,000 lbs. For FOD (Foreign Object Debris) applications, the use of sockets with a blue finish is recommended so that no coating will flake off.
